10x10x10

10x10x10 was a two week project. At first, it seemed to be pretty confusing, but after reading the brief it became to make a bit of sense. Over the first weekend I took pictures of collections of 10, 100 of boxes, buildings, road, fruits etc. After the weekend we started to work using 10x10x10 in terms of scale. For the small scale my group was working with 10 wooden square(1x1m) and we did some constructions inside and outside. We carried those squares to the TATE Britain's entrance, where we put them as a tunnel. For the medium scale I was working with a masking tape and chalks and marked different destinations, which were multiples of 10. For the large scale my group and me take a 1km trip to Westminster, recording our route. I think this day was very helpful and gave us a lot of good photographs for our portfolios, as well as a good base for the research.
For our independent study day we were asked to choose one activity from the given list and do it in 10 different ways. I chose traveling, and recorded it in 10 different ways (walking, elevator, tube, bus, bicycle, motorbike, stairs, escalator, train and taxi) and did 10 drawings. In class we were working with textures and I did 10 different samples of textured surfaces which can be applied to the interiors or exteriors.
The second week of the project was self-orientated. I chose to do an interior space for traveling with 10x10x10 scale. I went to TATE modern to take some pictures of the big space and did some sketches. At first, I wanted to do a moving platform for the TATE, so visitors can stand and it will move them through the whole gallery to the different levels, but after the talk with tutors I moved from that I idea, as TATE modern is very iconic space. I hope that makes sense. I found this project very struggling, at the begging. I started to do some drawings with ink, and the way ink flows reminded me of waves, so I took the pattern of the wave and applied it to my construction. I finished this project with a moving platform made of wave-petals, which are constantly moving, so it makes the whole platform move. 

I still not fully satisfied with my final outcome. As it not communicating my idea of moving through the whole space. It helps to move only from one level to another, but escalators are more appropriate for this. I might redo it and instead of the moving platform do a big staircase, which will look like my final outcome but will not move, as if people in the gallery want to look closer or longer at the masterpiece it won't be possible to do this on a constantly moving platform.
